Geri became a fitness instructor for one very important reason: the music.
After one too many classes spent silently critiquing the playlist, her husband finally said, “Why don’t you just become the instructor?”
So she did.
For the music.
For the motivation.
For the members.
For survival.
Her training style? Darkly humorous survival horror-thriller. You’ll question your life choices mid-wall sit (her personal nemesis), but you’ll walk out stronger, prouder, and maybe slightly addicted to the challenge.
Geri is here for smart training — not gimmicks. One myth she’d happily retire forever? “Sweat equals calories burned.” Sweat is your body’s cooling system, not a calorie counter. You can be drenched and inefficient… or controlled, precise, and incredibly effective. She’ll take effective every time.
Her motivation? Workout FOMO. Movement isn’t optional — it’s longevity. It strengthens the body, sharpens the mind, and builds identity. Missing a workout feels like missing a part of herself.
Biggest green flag in a client? Curiosity and openness to learning.
Biggest red flag? “I have 30 pounds to lose before my cruise next month.” Sustainable change > crash deadlines.
Her hot take on rest days? Absolutely self-care — but a long walk in the woods counts. Hiking and audiobooks are her current obsession when she’s not leading classes.
